Cantilever ships no hidden default factors. You record each factor's value, geography, period, scope and source; every estimate shows which one was used.
Transparent arithmetic
Estimated emissions = measured kWh × kg CO₂e per kWh. Nothing else is applied.
Gaps are visible
If a facility uses an energy type with no factor, it is shown as missing rather than silently treated as zero.
Exportable
Portfolio CSVs include the factor value and source next to each figure.
What this does not do
- Not a certified carbon accounting tool and not evidence of regulatory compliance.
- Market-based accounting (contracts, certificates) is not modelled.
